The Santa Monica Playhouse invites you and your family to celebrate the New Year with a fun production, food, and merriment. Advanced tickets are required and are available online. Perfect for those with grown-up kids. The festivities include a live band performing in the Great Hall, DJs spinning in the galleries, dancing, a photo booth, and a confetti countdown at midnight. The Aquarium of the Pacific is hosting a New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31st from 8:00 pm to 1:00 am. New Year’s Eve Presented by Night Dive (Adult-only Event) All activities are included in general admission. There are lots of fun activities planned including dancing, toasting apple juice and ginger ale, watching the “mega balloon drop at noon,” and more. Noon Year’s Eveįamilies are invited to celebrate Noon Year’s Eve at the Discovery Cube Los Angeles from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Get ready for confetti as the sun sets in Bangladesh, Dubai, Athens, and London. Pretend City will be celebrating the New Year at different times throughout the day as the sun travels across the different time zones. Your family can count down to the New Year at Pretend City’s annual celebration on Saturday, December 31st. (Note – the museum will only be open during the hours of this event and will close at 12:30 pm.) This event sells out so be sure to pre-register by calling 95. The “Professor’s VERY special party” festivities are scheduled from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. Get ready for some New Year’s Eve fun at Pennypickle’s Workshop in Temecula. Pennypickle’s Workshop – Temecula Children’s Museum Families can “celebrate 2023 twice with an East Coast (9 pm) and West Coast (midnight) countdown.” The free Fun Zone will be open from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The fun includes live music, vendors, and kids’ activities. If New Year’s Eve means heading out of town, then celebrate in Temecula with their annual New Year’s Eve Grape Drop. “The shows will be shot from the Marina’s south jetty and can be viewed from virtually anywhere in Marina del Rey, Venice Pier, Playa Vista and Dockweiler Beach.” In addition, the family-friendly GLOW Party is happening at Burton Chace Park from 7 pm to 12 am. Grand Park’s NYELA Countdown to 2023 is “Downtown L.A.’s biggest free New Year’s Eve music and dance party.” This is a family-friendly, alcohol-free celebration featuring musicians, DJs, as well as “an epic countdown to 2023 depicted by Grand Park’s signature 3-D video projection and light show on City Hall.” The festivities are scheduled for Saturday, December 31st from 8:00 pm to 12:30 am.
